November 11, 2020 -- San Jose, CA - Connected Vehicle platform company Sibros today announced the continued expansion of its leadership team by naming former GM executive Steve Schwinke as Vice President of Customer Engagement.
In this newly created role, Steve will provide strategic guidance and advisory to the company’s global OEM customers to support the successful business and operational outcomes from their connected vehicle investments leveraging the Sibros platform.
Previously, Steve was Global Head of Connected Vehicles at Tech Mahindra. Prior to this he spent over 22 years at General Motors which included serving as an original member of the OnStar® team and as Director of Advanced Technology and Connected Services where he led the team responsible for creating next generation connected vehicle services.
Throughout his career, Steve has heralded many industry first breakthroughs including the launch of one of the first OTA software delivery platforms, the first 4G LTE capable vehicle, the OnStar® three-button telematics unit and stolen vehicle slowdown service among others. He has been granted 32 patents (across telecommunications, telematics and navigation), is currently a member of the GSMA Automotive Advisory Board and former executive board member for the TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association).
